What is stopping you from taking the step to make 'what is important to you' a priority in y


If you reading this but haven’t read my earlier post then I recommend that you go back to read this one first Can being busy be an excuse or a distraction? So, it is my hope that you enjoyed my last post and that you have had enough time to explore what is most important to you.

Often in life we can get easily distracted and find ourselves going down another path, and not making what is important to us a priority. With these posts, my hope is that they serve as a little reminder for you to take some time to re-connect to what's important for you, and make some positive steps into moving towards making some changes/ habit breaking. Boundaries that you establish in your life as a protection for yourself today will often feel like constraints tomorrow. When we pay attention to our thoughts and emotions, and become more mindful of our choices (choosing out of love), the energy can channel in one direction and manifestation will happen. By simply making a commitment to yourself to pay attention to what you really care about, then energy starts to flow and your thoughts get organised in such a way, that there are no hurdles. So here goes, you are now ready for the next step . . of realising what is stopping you from taking the step to make 'what is important to you' a priority in your life.

I invite you to go back into the sacred space that you created for yourself during our last post. Remember this space provides you with the opportunity to engage and spend some quality time alone with yourself. Free from distractions. So when you are feeling comfortable, look at your previous journal notes, about what is most important to you.

Out of all the things that you wrote, now circle only three things that are the MOST important to you. I understand this may be difficult but remember this is just an exercise and you can re-visit the other things you have written at a different time. Once you have three things circled, then choose just ONE. The ONE thing that is MOST important for you right now. Whether it be to do with your career, your business, your relationship with self or another. Whatever is it please choose one only. I recommend listening carefully, and in particular pay attention to your heart at this time :) As you make this choice, observe yourself (without judgement) and see what feelings and emotions show up around this ONE choice. What is stopping you from taking the next step to make what is most important to you, a priority in your life right now? What do you feel?

ALLOW the emotions to flow through your body, and accompany whatever shows up without trying to understand them. Write down in your journal whatever you are feeling. Again even if it doesn’t make complete sense at this point, just write it down. Getting as many details as possible is very helpful. You may be feeling emotions such as self doubt, or feelings of insecurity, or fearfulness. See if you can also write down what is wrapped around those feelings. What is stopping you? Please take as much time as you need during this stage. There is never a right or wrong way for doing this. The more information you gather the clearer your next step will be. Once you have gained some clarity on what it is that stops you, you can then make a choice to move towards it.

In my experience when I have the courage to move towards my fears, the concerns and worries I thought would happen, often disappear. Taking a deep breathe, feeling the fear and doing it anyway, has always been my mantra. No not underestimate the tremendous strength within yourself to overcome any obstacle that is stopping you from stepping into your greatness.

My hope is that this exercise will be of serve for you. We only have one life, and making what is important to us a priority will bring you more fulfillment, and meaning to your life.
