The INTIMATE DANCE with getting to know your true authentic self.

Intimacy (in - to - me - see) Are you seen? Are you felt? Are you heard? Do you allow the 'real you' to be seen, felt & heard? I believe life is a dance. Each day we move through life just like a dance, the twists, turns, highs & lows. Not only are our bodies in constant motion, so too are our minds and emotions. Let's get up close and personal this week with SELF. The invitation is to observe yourself (without judgement) and get to know yourself on deeper levels (body-mind-emotions). 1) Pay attention to your Body The body speaks to us through sensation. Every moment our body is giving us signals. Are you paying attention and listening to what your body is communicating to you? See if you can become more aware of your body sensations today. Pay attention to heat in the body (hot/ cold), texture (tingling/ goosebumps) and weight (heavy & light). Notice any pain (often we pay attention more when we feel pain). Pain is not a 'bad' thing in the body it tells us something is not quite right, and so then we can make adjustments, to move and stimulate that particular body part in a different way to help release / let go of the discomfort. Gather as much information about your body signals. You don't need to understand as to 'why' this is happening at this point just pay attention. Perhaps take some time to start journal-ling about what you are sensing. See if you can discover something about your 'now' body that you didn't know before. IN TO ME SEE (intimacy) 2) Notice your Mind We can live inside our heads a lot of the time, and if we are not mindful our minds can become the directors of our lives. Notice your thoughts today. Notice the movement of your mind, how your thoughts can pull you all over the place. Notice in particular your own 'inner critic'. How it criticizes you, and stops you from doing something. When you start to notice this inner negative dialogue, instead use affirmations to train your mind to become more positive. Here are some meaningful and beautiful affirmations from Louise Hay to uplift your day and for creating your best life; I am grateful for my healthy body. I love life. I take in and give our nourishment in perfect balance. Abundance flows freely through me. I am worth loving. There is love all around me. Every experience I have is perfect for my growth. I go beyond barriers into possibilities. My self esteem is high because I honor who I am. Today is going to be a really really good day. Today is the future I created yesterday. Wellness is the natural state of my body. Life brings me only good experiences. I am open to new and wonderful changes. I look within to find my treasures. My income is constantly increasing. I love myself just the way I am. Life supports me in every possible way. I am safe. All that I need to know at any given moment is revealed to me. My intuition is always on my side. Another way perhaps, is to put a wrist band on your right wrist. When you are aware that you participating in self-criticism, move the band to your left wrist. See if you can discover something about your 'now' mind that you didn't know before. IN TO ME SEE (intimacy) 3) Observe your Emotions Emotions can point us towards our current truths. If you are not careful you can find that you are living by numbing out your feelings. For example; shopping, eating, keeping yourself busy, not wanting any alone time, and drinking are just a few ways of avoiding discomfort, sadness, getting to know yourself more deeply, hurt and pain. Instead become more mindful, when you sense these emotions don't just busy yourself, instead breathe your way through your feelings and emotions. See what you can discover, what are the truths behind your current emotions. See if you can discover something about your 'now' emotional body that you didn't know before. IN TO ME SEE (intimacy) Let’s be moved by the exploration of self…..
