Navigating through peri-menopause and menopause can be extremely challenging for many women. As a helping hand I have created three guided meditations to help with managing some of the symptoms of menopause. Whether you are new to meditating or have tried meditating before these audios are carefully designed to help you to feel better in your body, mind and with your emotions.
There are common myths about meditation . . .

Meditation is supposed to calm the mind. Or, correct meditation will lead you to stop thinking. False!

A feeling of calm, and a quieter mind is sometimes a result of meditation, but the purpose of meditation is not to calm the mind or your self. You have not failed when your mind continues to generate thoughts during your practice. The nature of the mind is to keep generating thoughts, endlessly, whether meditating or not.

The purpose of meditation is not to change the nature of your mind, but rather, the purpose is simply to observe what is happening within your own mind and your own self. That's it!

Who are these guided meditations for?Anyone who is in peri-menopause or menopause can benefit greatly from having a regular meditation practise.

Are these meditations in an audio or video format?All the meditations are in an audio mp3 format. They are designed to have your eyes closed. This way you can enjoy the meditations and not be distracted by images on a screen.

Do I need experience meditating to enjoy these?No, whether you are a complete beginner, or you've had some experience with meditations before, you will enjoy these meditations. They are fully guided so you will hear all the cues.

How long are the meditations?Each carefully designed meditation is approx 20-24 minutes in length.

Do meditations really work?After now practising regularly for over 15 years I can say with my hand on my heart that they are a wonderful tool to help with mindful living. As we age and navigate through peri-menopause and menopause it can be extremely challenging for many women. These guided meditations are designed to help you get a better night’s sleep, reducing hot flushes, releasing anxiety and regulating hormonal imbalances and mood swings.

Can I use my phone to listen to the meditations?Yes, you can listen to them through your phone or via a web browser. For the best experience, I recommend to choose a meditation and place your phone a few feet away from your body, face down. This way, there's no distracting blue light or loud speakers next to you while you listen.
